NEW GOVERNOR OF QUEENSLAND.

The resolution passed '.iy the Victorian Legislature with reference to the appointment of Colonial Governors was received with cheers on being read in the House of Commons to-day. Adelaide, December 1. Speaking at the Caledonian Society's banquet, the Governor, Sir Win. Robinson, thought the Home Government misunderstood tho wishes of the colonists, and suggested a Conference on the subject between colonial delegates and the Colonial Office.
