LATEST WELLINGTON NEWS.

(by telegravh.— PRirss association.) Wellington, Monday. JOSEPH Marston, an elderly man, formerly resident in Canterbury, has been missing from his residence at Petono since Wednesday night. He suffered slightly from paralysis, and was last seen going Uwards the wharf. It is feared he has fallen into the sea.

The new opera house has been thrown open for inspection. The decorations are not so extensive as before, but tho seating has been enlarged and the ventilation improved.
