Entries for all handicaps must be sent in to the Secretary not later than Monday, the 10th December, with entrance fees. They must be accompanied by performances on pain of disqualification. No entries will be received except on the condition that all claims, disputes and objections shall be decided by the committee, such decision to be final. All protests must be accompanied by the sum of ten shillings, which shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest be not sustained. The winner of any handicap over the j | j
value of £5 after the declaration of the starts may be re-handicapped for ono or all of the three distances for the Cup. In all races any competitor leaving the mark before the pistol goes off to be penalised and put back iu 100 yds. and 120 yds., 1 yard; 200 yds. and 250 yds., 2 yards; 440 yds., 5 yards; 56'8yds., 7 yards; i-mile, 10 yards; 1 mile, 20 yards. Any competitor making three false starts will be disqualified. No qualification or acceptance fee for any race.
