The Waikato Times Office, Wednesday. MELBOURNE MARKETS. Messrs GoLDSBROUUH Mort and Co.'.s report under date Melbourne November 15th '• The business transuded during the month in bread-stuffs has been almost wholly confined to tho supply of intercolonial and local requirements. The upward tendency of the market has completely put a stop to any shipping business for the present. The prospects of the approaching harvest in all the Australian colonies are unfavourable, and tho surplus of wheat •ivailable for oxport promises to be very limited. If the estimates now made of this colony's yield are approximately correct, there will be no more available than will meet the requirements of tho other colonies, after, of course, providing fur our own consumption. Wheat is in strong demand for local consumption at fronvlslOd to 5s for medium to prime milling, with limited supplies available even at these quotations. Oats are scarce in tho market, and realise from 3s Gd to 3s Sd for inferior to medium up to 3a lid fur prime stout. Barley is firm, and we qnoto up to Gs for prime malting ; feed descriptions, 3s Id to 3s 3d. Maize realises 3s 9d ; peas, 3s Id; and bran, Is 2d per bushel. DUNEDIN GRAIN MARKET. (BY TKLKGRArH—I'KESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, Wednesday. Mr Heir's grain sale was largely attended, and competition for oats was brisker than ever, with an additional rise of Id to for choice lota. Wheat ruled the same as last wale ; oats sold for 3s Hid to 4s 2-Jd ; wheat, medium, 4g to Is sd; choice qualities, 4s 7d.
