(BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, Friday. The Horticultural Show was opened today. The chief interest of the present show centres in the cut flowers, and the display is quite equal t» previous exhibitions. Amongst fruits the most interesting dishes are red currants, grown at Tuakau by Mr John Collins. Vegetables are good, though not so numerous as they should be at this time of the year. There are no traces of Charles Edward Renner, butcher of Newton Road, who has been missing since Tuesday morning. His wife fears the worst as he has been Buffering from depressed spirits. Enquiries made by the police have proved fruitless.
