RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.

A MEETING of the Rangiaohia Road Board was held 011 Saturday, 10th November. Present: Messrs J. B. Teasdale (chairman), K. Burke, and J. Cunningham. The minutes of the former meeting were read and confirmed. Tkndehs. —Tenders were accepted for the following works :—Contract No 10. Grading Lake Road, Mr C. S. McCallum, cutting, per cubic yard. Contract No. 17, grading near Matthews', Mr William Bearsley, cutting, 4kl per cubic yard ; formation, 4s 3d per chain. Contract No. 18, grading Holden'a road, Rangiaohia, 'Mr William Given and Son, cutting, 3d per cubic yard; formation, us per chain. Contract No. 11), formation portion Te Awamutu-Rangiaohia road, Mr William Bearsley, formation, 30 feet wide, 5s ; (i(> feet wide, 8s ; cleaving, 2s 3d per chain ; laying pipes. 12s per set. Contract ISo. 20, gravelling portion of Te Awamutu-Rangi-aohia Road. Messrs R. Potts and Co. 20s pel- chain. Messrs P. O'Brien and Kennedy's tender was rejected, being informal.

I'uuzK Nuisance.—The clerk was instructed to write to Mr J. Hunt, and request him to clear the gorse and briar from the road adjoining his property, so that the contractor may proceed with his work of funning the road. Gkayel.—lt was resolved that a man bo employed for two or three days, for the purpose of looking for gravel supposed to be in large quantities on Mr J. Cunningham's farm, the gravel to be used (if found) on the road in Te Rahu and Rangiaolva.
