[i!Y TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] W KLr.TNC.TON, Wednesday. Tub Premier this morning received a cable message from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, intimating that Earl Onslow has been appointed Governor of the colony. Sir William Hillier Onslow, the present Karl Onslow, was born on the 7th March, 1853, and is therefore in bis thirty-sixth year. His other titles are Baron Onslow, Baron Cranley, of Imborcourt, and Lord High Steward, of Guildford. The Earl is the fourth who has held the title, succeeding his grand uncle on the 24th October, 1879. He was Lord-in-waiting to Her Majesty from July, 18S0, to Vebruary, 18S7, when he was appointed Under-Secretary for the Colonies.
