PATERANGI.
Schooi. Kxaminatiqn". —Mr Goodwin, one of the examiners under the Auckland Board, attended at Paterangi during the past week, and put the scholars through the usual rout'ne examinations for the various standards. Although the result is not so good as last year, when overy scholar passed, it is, nevertheless, one that must be eminently satisfactory to Mr Orookes and Miss Murray, the master and mistress respectively, for out of 43 presented for examination 41 passed, which we learn is the best average of any school in the province out of Auckland. Mr Goodwin also reported very favourably to the local committee upon the manner 111 which the school is conducted. We must nut forget to render Miss Macky, the assistant-mistress, her meed of praise, for her department must have been equally well managed, or the result would not have been so satisfactory.
