The V.R-C Races. (BY KLECTRIO TELKGUArH—COPYRIGHT.) Melbourne, November 3. The weather was fine, but rather close and sultry. The attendance was about 50,000, including Sir H. 13. Lock, Lord Carrington and Sir William Robinson. The racing throughout was very good. Carbine was undoubtedly the best colt in the Derby, and the public supported the New Zealander heavily.
