Wool, hides, skins, and tallow : Rather a limited number of hides were pitched at tho Durham Yards on Tuesday, but skins were plentiful. The competition was keen throughout. Cattle: Although the number brought forward has been below the average, prices have not rallied, and there was no upward tendency for any description. At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday, thero was a short muster of fat beasts, but an average one of dairy and store stock. There was steady bidding throughout, and values for fat beasts did not fluctuate so much as on the previous week, but average values were much the lame, ranging from 12s to l(is per 1001b, according to quality. Stcors averaged from £5 8s 3d to £li 12s (id ; cows, from £3 5s to £4-each. Sheep : There was a fair muster at Newmarket on Tuesday, and steady demand throughout. Wether? in wool averaged 15s ; shorn wethers, from 9s 9d to lis (id ; owes, 8.- tu 10s. Lambs, rather scarce, sold at from 8s to 12s eacli. Figs were short of requirements, and were well competed for, and thero remained an unsatisfied demand for good store and porkers, at 3d per lb live weight. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS.
