COLLIERS' STRIKE.
ALARM IN LONDON. (BY BLKCTIUO TELKCnAI'H.—COmtIGHT.) London", October 20. At a largely attended mooting of colliery owners a resolution was passed regretting that they were unablo to grant an advance of wages to the. miners, who could inspect their books to prove that they were not in a position to pay a higher rate of wages. Considerable alarm is feh in the metropolis in consequence of the strike extending throughout the country as inconvenience and distress will be experienced.
