LIMELIGHT ENTERTAINMENT.

Till-: limelight entertainment at the Public Hal!, Hamilton, in aid of the Presbyterian Church was fairly well patronised, and had the weather been more favourable it would no doubt have been better attended. The first part of the programme consisted of views of places of note in and around the city of London. To those who have never seen tho great metropolis these would be highly interesting and a gnod idea could be foniH'tl of the magnitude and beauty of the buildings. The views of London Bridge, lilackfriars, Westminster, St. Paul's Cathedral, Lambeth Palace and the Thames Embankment were splendidly produced, not forgetting special mention of the scones at the Zoo' and of the different animals. A picture of one of our Hamilton earners and his horse and trap was loudly applauded by the juvenile*, who quickly recognised their old friend Sammy when he appeared on the scenes. The local scenes from photographs by Captain Reid wero especially good, notably "Lake Housa" and the Township of Ngaruawahia. Mr ])ey acted as lecturer, describing the different views in a very instructive and interesting manner. Tho programme was brought to a close by a recitation from " Marmiou " by Mr .Tames Primrose and a revolving view "Good Night."
