LAWN TENNIS.
The Cambridge Lawn Tenuis Club hold their opening day to-day, for although thoy have been playing all the winter, this is the day on which the season it supposed to commence. It is the usual custom to i>yc>vide some extra attiaction for the opening day, and as it was not possible to get any of the neighbouring clubs to send a team to have a friendly fight, a gentlomen's tournament has been arranged. It is divided into what ore called seniors and juniors, i.e. the best players and the indifferent; and as there are only four in the seniors, it is probable their match will be concluded this afternoon. The first to play will be Messrs T. W. Cook and J. Bull, who are undoubtedly the best players in the club. Mr Cook gives his opponent two thirties and one 1"). The juniors handicap the seniors, and vice versa.
