Caulfield Meeting.
[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.—COPYRIGHT. J Mki.houhne, October 13. The spring mooting of the "Victorian Amateur Turf Club was commenced at Caulfield to-day. Before the starting bell for the Caulfield Stakes rang there must have been quite 25,000 people on the course and as the day wore on this number was increased to 30,000. The weather, though hot and oppressive, was not sufficiently so to affect the. pleasure of those present. The course was in splendid order, and the day s outing passed off most pleasantly.
