1 liV TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION Wkstport, Friday. A severe shock of earthquake occurred at 2.30 o'clock this morning. Christchurch, Friday. A slight shock of earthquake was felt here at 2.21 a.m. to-day. The apparent direction was East and West, and duration about eight seconds. Kaikouha, Friday. Yesterday morning at 3 o'clock a 'veil defined earthquake shock or undulation was felt here. Two shocks were experi eneed this morning, one at 2.30 o'clock and the othor at twenty-live minutes later; another was felt at 1.-40 this afternoon, and slight shocks have been experienced here at intervals during the last two days.
