THE CABLES.
[By Elkotbiu Telkouaph.—Copykight. j Adelaide, October 12. has I teen received from Port Darwin to the effect that the. Sherrard Osborne, cable repairing steamer, did not break the now cable whilst grappling as was at lirst supposed. The steamer was not working at the time the cables parted. The ends of the old cable have been buoyed.
