At half-past three in the afternoon she was suddenly struck by an enormous wave of unusual magnitude. The passengers on the hurricane deck wore, lmrlud in all directions. Two other passengers, Mr White and Mr Herbert, each had a leg broken, and Seaman Jones also had his leg fractured.
