HAMILTON ROAD BOARD

A full-attended meeting of this Board was held on Saturday at the usual time and place. After the minutes of the previous meeting had been read and confirmed, the plans of the proposed new works on tho old Whatawhata road at Partington's Hill wore laid on the table, the consideration of this work having been held over from the last meeting. After some discussion as to the cost of the earthwork, it was resolved that the work should not he undertaken until the Newcastle Road Board moved in the matter, and advised the Board that the work was required.—Resolved that the sum of £3 0s lOd (rates overpaid) should be refunded to Mr Jolly.—Resolved that no new works be undertaken until January, 1889.—Tho following accounts were passed for payment :-T. Jolly, £3 0s 101 ; T. Jones, balance, £1 8s ; J. Carey, £1 ; C. Rogers, 12s 6d.—The Board then rose.
