Gkoi.ouicai, Ccbiositiks.—Soma very interesting curios are being unearthed as the cutting proceeds in connection with the new lawn court formation, at no greater depth than about nine feet. There is evident proof that the virgin forest has been flourishing there and coverea up by a land slip. Some of the specimens are leaves and ferns in quite a green natural state. But the more remarkable are the same leaves, ferns and debris encased with a thorough encrustation of iron possibly formed by the Alteration of the mineral waters. Mr I'arkes has taken several specimens away, but what his opinion of them i- - , has not yet transpired. One suggestion thrown out is well worthy of the Board's consideration, viz., that a glass ease be placed in the office so that these and any other curios may be preserved and be placed on,.vigor for the inspection of visitors.
