MAHIKAPAWA [Mahakipawa] GOLDFIELDS.

(BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION). Blenheim, Monday. A 2ooz. nugget valued at .£Ol, now at tho National Bank, came from Scariff's claim on the Mahikapawa [Mahakipawa] Creek. It was found within a few yards of a reef which encourages the belief that tho reef is rich. The richness of the field is now beyond doubt, and there is no need for hesitation in chronicling the find. Tho rush has broken out in the Waikaka range, within two hours' journey of Blenheim. Over a hundred claims were pegged out yesterday, and at 10.40 this morning, the Warden had issued 15 miner's rights.
