Mb H. Reynolds lias made satisfactory terms with the Paterangi milk suppliers, with whom he had a meeting on Tuesday. The company (Reynolds and Co.) have leasod the factory for a term of three years. The terms agreed upon will be found as under; but after the first year the prices will vary according to the market rates ot butter. Suppliers are given the option of taking or leaving the skim milk at £d per gallon, The same number of cows as last year were guaranteed, and the company urge the necessity for providing good feed for the winter. The following are tho rules : —1. Kach supplier shall deliver pure, sweet, and unadulterated milk, strained immediately after milking. 2. The evening's milk shall be snt in cans standing in water. It is essential that the cans so set should not be more than half tilled. 3. No milk which does not yield an average of 10 per cent, of cream will be received. The average of two months' milk to be taken. 4. Prices from October, 1887, to May, 1889, both months inclusive, will be 21d per gallon of 10i lbs, id (farthing) for each extra 2 per cent, of cream above the 10 par cent. 5. No milk to be brought to tho Factory from any cow that has not calved at least ten days, (i. Milk to be delivered at the factories not later than 8.30 a.m., except where suppliers have to come over two miles, when time will be extended to i> o'clock. 7. No cows used for factory purposes to be allowed to eat turnips or rape. Any supplier, knowing one or any of his cows to have fed on these, to refrain from sending such milk to factory. 11. Each supplier shall send the whole of his milk to factory, with exception of what is required for his own use. 10. Skim milk can bo taken at jd (farthing) per gallon, and after February each supplier to take only one-third of what he brings. 11. Payments will be made monthly, on or before the 20th of month following that on which milk is received. 12. We the undersigned hereby agree to supply milk according to the above rules.
