(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.— COPYRIGHT.) Brisbane, September 11. Thb financial statement shows a deficit of £l!). 000 last year. During the last three years the deficit has amounted in all to £600,000, and the total debt is now £17,300,000. The Treasurer does not look with a favourable eye on the land and income tax, but proposes to entirely repeal the old tariff and remodel it on a proportion basis.
