LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS
* (BV TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, Monday. Inspkotor Broham has received reports from, various constables on out stations with regard to three men, Alfred Joe, O'Harahara, and one whose name is unknown, reported missing since August 27th in a fishing yacht. Constables Hutchens (Mercer), McKnight (Papakura), [list (Coroinatidel), and Sergt. Clark, of the Water Police, all report that so far their search has failed to thrown any light upon the fate of the missing one«. As the night on which they went out was very rough, it is feared that the yacht capsized, and all were lost. Sir William Fox goes to Melbourne in connection with the Temperance Conference. Hon. Mr Mitcholson will be at bis rooms in the District Manager's Office, at the Railway Station, for the transaction of public business on Wednesday next, from 10 a.m. to noon, and from 2 p.m. to i p.m.
