We have a steady Western sale for Silverly brand at S.'.c! to !ld. Bacon and bams (duty 2.1 per lb). Consignments from New Zealand have come to li-nd freely, and this market is fully stocked. Wo quote Pagles lid and Is respectively. Jlutter (duty L'd per lb): A pond demand exists for prime New Zealand in kegs at Is ."id to Is lid. Inferior lots are dilrieult to place, at any price. Prime New Zealand aro in good demand, and are worth to, stocks being (Jocular Heads are not much enquired for, and mav be quoted at up to £"> ss. (nominally.) Mutter. -(Duty, 2d per lb.) Car market lias continued firm hilhert;o. but the prospects point to a decline m the early future, in consequence of the approach of the spring season in Victoria. The inquiry for loaf has been steadily diminishing for some time past; tyl to B','J is about the. ruling value for prune factory-made. Hams.—(Duty, 2d per lb.) Are in steady demand, especially .Kujjlish cures, the price, of which may be quoted at Is 2d. New Zealand and Victoria are worth about Is.
