SEVERE ACCIDENT TO A BOY.

A boy named Roderick Ryan, aged 10 years, son of Roderick llyan, of Hamilton Kast, met with a serious accident on Saturday afternoon. He was playing with a horse, and whilst making an attempt to get on its jack, he slipped under the animal and was kicked by it on the head. Dr. Kenny was immediately sent for, and on his arrival, found the boy had sustained a fracture of the skull and was also suffering from slight concussion of the brain. Dr. Kenny considers the ease somewhat serious, but hopes to effect a recovery in a little time if the patient is kept quiet.
