(BY telegraph—press association). THAMES, Monday. Mary Davis, who attempted to murder her husband, was further remanded. Davis is now out of danger. HAWERA, Monday. A serious buggy accident occurred yesterday to Mr Nairn, of the Batik of Australasia, and his wife and two children. The horses bolted, and the buggy capsized. The occupants were all thrown violently out, and were all more or less badly cut and bruised. DUNEDIN, Monday. Mr Carew, R.M., to-day decided that promoters of mining eompanies had no power to claim allotment money. J. Walker, an old resident of Opoho, over 70 years of age, was found dead in his bed on Saturday morning. He must have been dead a couple of days when discovered.
