MR ALKREB BUCKI.AND'S WKKKLY RKFoßTß.—During the past week hay and straw has realised lata values, from 1h 3d to 2a per cwt. ; chaff, 40s to 50s ; Waikato potatoes, 35s to 42s 6d ; carrots, 26s to 30s ; bones, £4 os the ton; short oats, 2* Id to 2a (id ; Tartars, 2s !)d to 3s ; maize, 2s 6d the bushel; bonednst and phosphates, from £6 to £8 10 s the ton. At the horse sale oil Friday, the 24th inst., horses were yarded in full number, and sold steadily throughout the auction, the better enquiry being for farm and springcart horses, prices for those ranged from £(3 to £10 10s ; a springcart sold for £10, and a buggy £18; harness, £2 to £5 17s (3d the set. On Tuesday hides and skins were in usual supply; hides were lower iu price than hitherto, nearly Jd a lb., the highest price obtained for ox hiaes being the lb. Sheepskins, on the contrary, sold briskly, the greater number brought from 3a 9d to us 3d each; wool, fljfd to 7Ad the lb; tallow, 12s (id to 14s fid the cwt. At the country cattle sales, held respectively at Pukekohe and Papaluira, stock was brought forward in moderate numbers only, prices were Krm for store cattle of all kinds. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were dull of sale. The store cattle advertised were not received —the weather having prevented the boat from bringing them. The few stores yarded sold at high values. Moderatelybred 6teers, from two to three years old, £2 IBs each; dry cows, £2 to £2 14s. Fat cattle, in full supply, ware at last week's prices. Steers, from 15s to 17s the 1001b. Steers from Waitara ranged from £7 10s t» £li 2s (id ; from Waikatu, from £4 to £l> 10s. Sheep, in moderate numbers, obtained no improved value. Wethers ranged from 12stol5si)d; hoggetts, 8s Od ; lambs, 10s to 14s each. Pigs and calves sold satisfactorily. MkSSHS IIuNTKIt AND NOLAN'S WEEKLY KeI'OHT. —llor.-o feed, seeds, grain, &c. : The supply has been ample, and average quantities have been disposed of, Oats, hard, an upward tendency in value; and some lots of dialf made an advance of from 10s to 20s per ton. We quote: Feed oats. 2s (id per bushel; maize, 2s 8d to 2s !)d per bushel ; bran. £3 10s per ton ; carrots, 25s to 30s per ton. Houses: There has been a little stir ill the market, and strangers found ready purchasers at advanced values. About the usual number were submitted by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday. Bidding at the commencement of sale was brisk, and most of the lots changed hands, but towards the end reserves could uot be reached, as although there is a riso in price for useful horses, vendors do not consider it sufficiently marked. We quote: Hacks, £5 15s to £11 ; light harness horses, £0 10sto £12. Wool, hides, and skins. Avenge quantities were pitched at tho Durham Yards on Tuesday ; except for very choice, lots of hides there was great difficulty in maintaining the previous week's values, but skins sold freely, with a slightly upward tendency. We quote: Heavy ox, 3Jd to 4|d ; medium, 3jd to 3.\d ; cow, 2Jd to per lb; calfskins, 4d to 4Jd per lb ; sheepskins, 3s Ud to os 4d each ; bones, £4 5s per ton. Cattle : There has been considerable animation in the market. Store and dairy cows were much more plentiful; fat wore sufficient for requirements. Fat and store stock had a slightly upwards tendency. There was no alteration in dairy cows. The Newmarket Yards on Tuesday were fairly well filled. Dairy cows were in usual numbers. Stores were plentiful, and were well competed for. A draft of grown steers from the North attracted particular attention. Some averages of steers were £3, £3 Is, and £4 2s Ud. Dairy cows were at last week's values. Fat oeasts were in adequate supply, and met with good demand. Steers at from lGs to 17a lid per 1001b. Some averages were: —Cows, £3, £4 Ss, and £4 10s. Steers : £5 9s, £5 l(is, £(i 2s, £G 4s, £i\ Us 3d, £0 ( .)s, £(i 10s, £13 7s (id, £U 15s Gd. Sheep bolow an average number were yarded. Prices had rather a downward tendency as compared with tho previous week. Wethers sold at from lis to l(is each ; ewes, from 0s Od to 14s 9d. tigs plentiful.
