AN AUCKLANDER'S OPINION OF MELBOURNE.
♦ (by telegraph.— fkrss association.) Auckland, Wednesday. Mr Aitken Connkll, in an interview with a Star reporter, narrates his impressions o£ Melbourne. He expressed the opinion that prosperity originated with large profits made out of land speculation, which attraoted capital and population, and that prosperity is buoyed up by the exhibition und a collapso is impending. He comes back better satisfied with New Zealand and its permanent prosnerity than ever he was.
