: «. (by tklbghaph—phess association). INVKRCARGILL, W<:dnesday._ John Maloxky was committed for trial for shooting Dr. Galuraitli. The doctor received thirty-three pellets in the left thigh and was unable to get out until to-day, although the shooting occurred on June 19th. A fellmongery establishment near town, owned by Alexander Darling, has been burned down by a supposed spark from a I chimney which ignited the roof. It was insured for £1200 in the Mew Zealand Office. FISLDING, Wednesday. A smart shock of earthquake was felt here at 4.13 this morning. At the R.M. Court this afternoon a young man named William Lowe was committed for trial at thp Supreme Court for indecent exposure to young girls. The Bench adopted this course as they could not inflict punishment adequate to the offence.
