BAND OF HOPE.
At the fortnightly meeting of the Hamilton Wesleyan Band of Homo, held in the schoolroom "1) Tuesday evening last, Mr Win. Andrew, who has acted as secretary for the Sunday-school for upwards of two years, was presented with two very handsome and well-bound books, entitled " The Life of Christ "and "The Life and Works of S. Paul." Anions those present were the Rev. T. G. Carr (Wesleyan Minister), and the superintendent and teachers of the Sunday-school. Mr R. Waite, superintendent, made the presentation on behalf of the teachers as a slight recognition of Mr Andrew's valuable services as secretary, and for the faithful manner in which he had done his duties. He (the speaker) said he was indeed very sorry to have t« make the presentation, as they were losing one whose services had been greatly valued in the Sunday-school work. Mr Andrew replied, thanking the snporintendent and teachers for their kindness towards him, and the honour conferred upon him. Mrs liorne (one of the oldest teachers in the Sundayschool), and Rev. Mr Carr also spoke in a feeling manner of the very valuable services rendered by Mr Andrew, and expressed their regret at losing him.
