[By Electric Telegraph■— Copymoht.] London, August 10. A collision occurred near the coast of Nova Scotia, between the steamers Thimvalla andGeiso - . The latter sank and 105 lives were lost. The Thimvalla with 31 survivors and 450 passengers made for Halifax. A severe eviction fight took place at New Ross, County Wexford. Two French ladies in Paris have fought a duel with pistols, both being seriously injured. An attack by the Thibetans on the British position is imminent. 10,000 people were present at the cricket match between Nottingham and the Australians. The former made -141 runs in their first innings. Loxnox, August 15. The Australians in their first innings only made 95 runs. The Australians, in their second innings, made 147 runs. The match was thus wen by Notts, by an innings and 191 runs. The Thimvalla has arrived from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Sir Morell Mackenzie's book refuting the charges brought against him by his enemies in Germany will be published simultaneously in England and Germany within the month. The general impression in medical circles is that but for Dr. Mackenzie's timely intervention Frederick would never have ascended the throne. There were no casualties, but the destruction of the buildings, which were very massive, has occasioned a great loss.
