THE SPEAKER ON HIS DIGNITY.
* (by telegraph—own correspondent.) Wellington, Monday, TIIK expected stonewall on the Crown and Natire Lands Rating Hill tonight, collapsed after a lengthy speech from MiReeves, (Inangahua), on the Foul Brood Among Bees Bill, on* of the measures which the Premier moved to withdraw from the Order Paper. The Premier, after listening to Mr Reeves for about an hour, jocularly said he should be happy to allow that Bill to remain on the Order Paper, but Mr Reeves then objected to the removal of the Calitornian Thistle Bill, and proceeded to speak on it. Finally tha Speaker pnlled Mr Reeves up sharply and said he was trifling with Parliament. The latter then innocently asked the Speaker what lie should talk about, to which Sir M. O'Rorkestensly replied that he must not question the ruling of the chair. Mr Reeves tben resumed his sent and the Bill got into Committee.
