THE TIMES AND PARNELL.

London, August 14. Tjik Parnell Commission will •begin its sittings on lGtli October. The trial of the case, brought by Mr Parnell against the Times will take place in October. The Times states Mr Parnell only appealed to the Court when ho found it impossible to avoid the witness box. August 15. The Times, in referring to tho libel action brought against that paper by Messrs O'Connor and Redmond, expresses its opinion they are intended simply t.o distract and divert attention from the larger issues. It announces that the actions will be defended, but it is intended to prove the charges before the commission.
