Thieves broke into the Ellerslio Railway Station last night, and carried out tho safe, but being unable to open it, they left it by the roadside, getting nothing by their exploit. A gas explosion, which occurred in Messrs T. and S. Morrin's store, caused considerable damage, but no one was hurt. Auckland markets: Wholesale, butler, prime fresh, Is 3d per lb; chcese, good factory, to 4|d; eggs, 7d; lard (in bladders) 5Ad ; bacon and hams, 7d to Rd. Flour Market: Wholesale, best roller, £11 ss; second, £10 ss; Hniithnrn flour £0; bran, per ton (sacks included), £0 10s; Southern do. £3 10s; local sharps, £4; oats, 2s 3d to 2s 4d ; maize, 2s Od to 2s 9d ; local potatoes, £4 5s to £4 10s.
Mr J. McNicol will sell a fine lot of cattle at Ohaupo on Tuesday next.
