A STRANGE ACCIDENT.

Mn G. A. Laidlaw, of Hnntly. met with mi alarming accident on Tuesday, attended with very peculiar circumstances. He was riding at a slow canter from Ohinewai, in company with Mr Robert Muir, when his horse without a moment's warning, reared right back and fell over dead 011 top of its rider. The horse did not breathe or move again. Mr Laidlaw lay with his leg and hip jammed into a sand bank under the weight of the dead horse.
