The manager of the Acme Eoller Skating Rink advertises a novelty for Monday evening next, Mr Langsford, who is at present in Hamilton, and is quite au fait in the use of roller skates, having promised an exhibition of his skill upon wheels. In our report of the Bardell v. Pickwick entertainment, lately given at Cambridge, we remarked that it was a pity so much trouble should have been taken for only one performance, and suggested that it should be repeated. We have now the pleasure of announcing that it is to be repeated, and will be in aid of the Waikato Hospital. The Mayor of Cambridge was exhorted to obtain the assistance of Mr Shirley and the others who took part in the late entertainment. Mr Hally at once took the matter in hand, con ainore, with the result that the performance is to bo repeated on Friday next, the 10th instant, the charge of admission being fixed at Is to all parts of the hall. We trust there will be a bumper house, and that a substantial amount will be added to the hospital fund. Our correspondent telegraphed late last evening that a hitch had occurred re Bardell v. Pickwick being given for the hospital, in consequence of the ladies declining to perform, but it is hoped they will reconsider the matter, as it is for a charitabie institution.
