THE PRICE OF AGRICULTURAL LAND IN JERSEY
(From the "Nouvelle Chroniquo.") The property known by the name of "Laprairie," situated in the LawrenceValley, was sold last Tuesday, May 29th, by Mr J. F. Leabirel, auctioneer. The house and about 16 vergees of land (2£ vergees form an acre), were awarded to Mr Jos. Le ttros, formerly of Mont-au-pretre, at the rate of £180 per vergee, (about g of an acre) The crops on foot (potatoes) were sold to Mr J. Malzard, of Mellbrook, at the rata of £26 per vergee. The fiold called "lha Garden' of La Moie" in St, Peter's Parish, has been bought by Mr C. Lequesne, at the rate of £114 per vergee, and Mr Jackson, of Trinity, bought the potatoesiu this field, at the value of £30, and £24 10s per vergee.
