THE SYDNEY STRIKE.
[By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] Sydney, August 3, The strong card which the Seamen's Union intended to play in connection wiLh the Mariposa difficulty was the refusal to supply that vessel with coal. The Union is now much astonished to find coal has been secured. In anticipation of further difficulty, the consignees are advertising for forty men to assist in discharging the steamer. The Maritime Council is appealing to workmen to decline the work.
