Uei-out : At Hamilton on Thursday, July l'Jth, there was a giiud muster of horses, also some fat and dairy cows, pigs ndveitised did not arrive, there w«.i a Rood attendance and splendid bidding ior horses and nearly all sold hueks, Iroin £3 10s to £8 ; light harness horses, £4 to £10 ; fat cuvw, £2 10s to £1. At Cambridge on Saturday, July 21st, there was brisk bidding for meat at Booth and Roberts and all sold satisfactorily. At the cattle yards only a limited number of cattle penned, sumo priino heifers sold well, a few fat hogßolts sold also. At the horse yards only a small quantity of produce but a good number of horses brought forward, fur which there w;>3 goud enquiry, and nearly all sold. We quote : Springing heifers, £3 to £3 (is ; fat heifers, £3 12s Gd to £12s Cd ; fat hoggetts, 3s potatoes, 4s 3d per bag. Hacks, from £3 10s to £5 10s : ponies, from £110s to £3 2a lid : draughts, from £G to £9 10s. At Ohaupo, on Tuesday, there was a large muster of both sheep and cattle, also a good attendance of buyers for all classes. Nearly 100 head of beef yarded ; those of good quality s-jld well, inferior unsaleable ; the creator part sold. Young cuttle and good dairy cows at profit were again in good demand, and sold well. For turnip bullocks there is great enquiry, and we could place a lot if brought forward at once. I , at sheep also sold well. We quote : Dairy cows, £3 to £3 17s (id ; springing huitors, £2 10s to £3 7s ; steer calves and yearlings, His to 245; mixed sexos, from 12s ; 1!, and two-year-old steers, 24s to 355; 2\ year-old steers, £2 2s to £2 His ; 3 year-old steers, £3; a pair oil turnips, £3 10s ; store cows, £1 to £2 7s ; fat cows and heifers, £210s to £4 ; fat wethers, 13s 4d and 13s tid ; fat hoggetts, 9s to lls ; young pigs, os. A waggon load of mixed sixes, 9s each. Owing to the quantity of cattle being yarded, and some lots arriving late, we did not finish the sale until dusk, our sales here in future will start at 1.30 punctual. AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Mr Am'bed Buckland's Weekly ReFOKT.—At the Hayniarket during the past week fodder was offered in full quantity, and alteration in values from previous week, prices ranged from Is lid t<. 2s 3d per cwt; chaff, £2 t» £3; bonedust, £5 ss; seed potatoos, £-1 to £5; fencing wire, £7 ; potato manure, £810s per ton. On Friday, 20th July, horse stock wore in better inquiry. Medium draught and strong riding horses brought from ttJ to £20 ; a spnngcart, £7 10s; harness, £2 ss; double harness, £10 lOi.' On Tuesday, hides and skins wore in full numbers, with a brisk demand throughout, particularly for shoepskins. Best hidos kept late values, prime ox brought -Ijd to 4id per lb, but ordinary hides of all classes were lower about id per lb, prices ranged from 2 : id to 4gd ; calfskins, 3id to 4Jd. Sheepskin.'?, in full numbers, were engerly competed for, the greater part brought from 4s to T.s 8d each, and a single skin, 7s. Wool, to ij'id per lb; tallow, 12s Gd to 13s ; bones, 4s 3d per cwt. At Rarnuera on Thursday dairy cattle were at late values, store cattle better worth, fat cattlo advanced in price, good steers brought from 18s to 20s the lOOlbs. Sheep, dull of sale, scarcely maintained last week's values, although ft good number were brought by graziers, and some withheld; wethere ranged from 10s to 10s each. Calves, in eood demand at late prices. Well fatted and woll bred pigs better worth, but coarse pigs scarcely saleable. Sonio averages were :—Ex Glene'.g: 27 r.xen, £7 17s od. Ex Gairloch : 44 steers, £7 4s ; 10 steers, £G l. r )s. From Waikato : 8 steers, £5 18s ; 7 steers, £G 7s lid ;27 steers, £« 4s; 10 cows, £3; 11 cows, £3 17s Gd. Sheep:—From Waitara : 314 mixed sexes, lls Gd ; 120 shorn lambs, 8s 3d. From Waikato : 120 wethers, 15s 9d ; 59. 14s 0d ; SO, 13s Gd ; 24, lls ; 225, 12s ;GG, 12s 9d ; and 25 ewes, 10a Gd each. Mkssbs Hunter and Nolans weekly Retoki'.—Horse feed, seed, grain, &c. :— The quantities brought forward have been in excess of requirements, but the demand has been steady. Feed oats at 2s 3d per bushel; maize, 2s 9d ; oaten chaff, £2 10s ; pressed hay, £110s per ton ; carrots, £1 10s per ton; bran, £3 10s to £4 per ton. Horses : An increased number were brought forward and found purchasers at a slightly advanced rate, and there remains an unsatistiod demand for those of a good stamp. There was about the usual muster at the Durham Yards on Friday. Competition was steady throughout the sale and most of the lots were cleared. Wo quote hacks at from £1 10s to. £13 5s ; light harness horses and quick draught, from £8 to £15; heavy draught, £li> to £1710s. Wool, hides, skins and tallow : rather smaller quantities than usnal wore pitched at the Durham Yards on Tnoidny, There was a good demand throughout. We quote heavy ox hides at from -Ud to 4jd per lb; medium, 3jd to •H<l; cow, 3d to'a.W; calfskins, 4.W to 5d per lb; sheepskins, Is 7d to 4s 3d each. Cattle: Scarcely the usual numbers have been brought forward, and a brisk demand has existed, with an upward tendency in value of both dairy and store slock. There was a small muster of stores, and a moderate one of dairy cows and fat beasts at the Durham Yards on Tuesday. Dairy cows advanced in valno fully 10s per head, ranging from £4 10s to £7 each. Fat beasts sold also at higher prices, 20s per 1001b being reached for top wirts. _Somo averages for steers were £5 ss, £0 os, £li 18s Gd, £7 2s, and C 7 10s ; cows, £3 "is, £1 Is Gd and £5 "is. Slißop : A short number were yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday, but there was littlo or no upward tendency m price per stonn. Wi'thers sold lit from lls 9d to 14* 3d ; ewes, 10s 3d to lls Gd ; lambs, Ss to lls 3d. l'igs : A good niiiny wore yarded, and there was steady competition.
