(by tklkoraph.—prkss association.) Wui.lington, Friday. The youth George Henry Hodges has been committed for trial for criminal assault on a child of tender years. In the Supreme Court Mr Jellicoe applied for a writ of habeas corpus in. the case of the French escapee, Gasperini. Judgment was reserved. A letter has been received from Sir J. Vogel, stating that he will not leave England before the beginning of 1889.
