Mr Stevens taid tlic (Jovurmnmt intended obtaining information about the pneumatic guns. The Hon. Dr. Mcnzies gave notice to mcivu that it is expedient tliat Bible reading in ecliools should le no longer prohibited. The Counties Act Amendment Bill was committed and parsed. The Volunteer Drill Sheds and Laud Bill was further considered in Committee and lemirted with amendment. The Council rose at 5 p.m.
