HUNT CLUB RACES.
A sheeting of the Hunt Club was held at 8 p.m. onSatnrday, at the Criterion Hotel, Cambridge, to decide if a race mooting should be held to wind up the season. The following membnrs were present: Messrs Breakell, Lake, J. Browne, Bach, Dalgleish, Phillips, Dibble, W. T. Carr, 0. Glassford and H. G. Glassford. It was unanimously decided to hold a Hunt Club Race Meeting on Allwill's course on Wednesday, August Bth. Tho Hunt Club Committee v/ere appointed stewards, tho officers being as follows: — Judge, H. Gordon Glassford Esq.; starter, Mr C. J. Storey ; clerk of scales, Mr C. Tuck; clerk of course, Mr E. Pilling. Messrs W. C. Breakell and R. TOrkwood were appointed handicappers. The Working Committee consist of Messrs Lake, Breakell, McNicol, Bach, J. S. Buckland and C. Glassford. Entries will close on Jvly 30th, weights will be declared on July 31st, and acceptances close on August 4th at 9 p.m. The programme of events appears in another column. With the exception of those in the Novel Race, all horses must be the property of members of the Club, must be duly qualified, and be ridden by gentlemen riders.
