THE SALVATION ARMY AT NGARUAWAHIA.
ViCTOIUA-STKEET, Hamilton, was quite lively on Wednesday evening, at the unwonted spectacle of 14 cavalry " and wacrgons and traps loaded with Hamilton members of the Salvation Army, who were about to make an attack on Ntfaruawahia, under the local officers. At the latter placo arrangements had been mado for the visit by the Wesleyans, who kindly lent their church for the occasion. The difficulties presented by tho bad roads did not prevent the detachment from arriving safely, and a united march of some 50 stronsr, was formed up, and paraded the streets to the stirring strains of the military music by the Salvation Army. Apparently the laJs were delighted, and the people turned out well, the church not bi'ing large enough to contain the crush. Mrs Hutchinson, of the Auckland Kescut Brigade, Mrs Andrew, of Otahuhu, and others spoke during the meeting, and close attention was paid to the earnest, practical words of these out-spoken people. The re turn journey was much enjoyed under the bright moonlight, and the first of the feal vation sorties ended with a " dismiss shortly after midnight.
