Cambridge v. Hamilton
The above match will come off on Sydney Square, Hamilton East, on Saturday next, commencing at 3 o'clock sharp. The match will be a very close one, as both teams are good, Cambridge being, perhaps, the better. There is no doubt there will not be any of the squabblingorbad language, which has characterised some matches. A word of praise is due to Mr F. Hammond, who has worked up the Hamilton team, and pot them to practice. The following are the teams:—Cambridge: Bull (2), Lusk, Pritt, Walker, Light, Wilson (captain), McCann (2), Preston, Lawson, Box, Chambers, Hannon and Kutherford. (It may be noticed that Messrs Lawson, Box, and Rutherford—three good men—played for Hamilton last year). Hamilton: Messrs (Jribble (captain), Hammond (2), M. Hume, Jolly, Clarken (2), O'Neill, Sage, Mayes, McKenzie, Quick, Jim Kelly, Cassidy and Reid. Emergencies: von Stunner and Gandin.
