Jlr L'harazyn brought up tlie report of the Railways under Loan Committee, which reonumendod th.it the only line to be proceeded with should be the Wood-ville-Faliuer.-tnn one ; also that on lines already opened ami not paying expenses, tins train services slmnld be discontinued, unlpss the residents in the guarantee the working expenses.^"T^ Hon. Mr Wilson moved a rcsolntioVto the effect that an address be presented to His Excellency, as to whether Messrs Whitako,-, Waterhouse, Oliver and Pliarazyu have nut become disqualified from voting in the Council by being absent fur two succe-sive sessions. After a debate the motion was agreed to. The Council rose at ii p.m.
