HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD

The usual monthly meeting of tho Hamilton Domain Board was hold in the Borough Council Chambers, at 8 o'clock on Tuesday evening. The following members were present '.—Messrs I Coates (in the chair), Salmon, Wood, Missen, Bell, von Stunner, and .lone. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Lake Survey.—A letter was received from tho Assistant Surveyor-General, stating that tho survey of the lake was finished on the ground, but that the maps had not been sent in yet, nor were they likely to bo for some little time, but as soon as they were, the Board would be supplied witli the tracing as requested. Tho letter was received. Tuanskek.—Permission was given to Mr H. W. Northcroft, to transfer his interest in lots, Lots, Nos. 5 and 7, to Mr George Edgecombe. Tuout Ova.—Mr A. M. Thompson wrote asking the Board to purchase some trout ova. No action was taken, tho Board having no funds. Payments.—The following accounts were passed for payment:—Dey and French, Is ; McKenzie and Peacock, 17s. By-laws.—By request Mr Knox's notice re by law , was deferred till next meeting. Sydney Scjuake.—lt was ueiided to use tho sweepings of the bridge as manure round the macrocarpa hedge in Sydney Square, and power was given to tho Recreation Committee to have any dead trees on tho square replaced. Recreation Committee. —Mr Coates' name was added to the Recreation Committee, vice Mr C. J. W. Barton. Reciieation Rkseuve. — The clerk reported that tha lease of lot 413 Recreation Reserve, Galloway-street, ran out on July 2nd, but it was decided that the reserve be not put up for lease until the spring of the year. Funds.—The present state of the Boards finances is, overdraft, ±.'390; rents due, £(J7 !»s. This being all the business tho Board rose.
