CIVII. CASKS. Kiksecumbk v. Mooitic.—The R.M. gave judgment for the defendant with costs, on the grounds that the bankruptcy of the latter having been closed cleared him from any legal action being taken on account of debts connected with the insolvent estate. Mr Hay said lie would consider whether to appeal. One or two other debt cases were disposed of. CRIMINAL. HohaiaNgahiwi v. Hour Edwards for assault at Hukanui. The action was over a paltry case of family disagreement arising out (if the ownership of some posts.—Mr Hay appeared for complainant, and Mr O'Neill for defendant. Several native witnesses were called, and the hearing occupied bo much time that it was adjourned to next sitting day.
