Tin-: Bill introduced by thi; Marquis of Salisbury for the reform of the House of Lords proposes that life peers be limited to vlie number of fifty, and the number to be nominated annually is not to exceed five. They arc to consist of judges, admirals, generals, privy councillors, (both ar home and in the colonies), ambassadors, governors, and also persons of special merit. The Bill has been read a first time.
