[lit TELEGRAI'It—OWN COIUIESI'ONI>UNT.J Auckland, Monday. A man named John Min, a fisherman, has been missing since Friday on which day Inwas seen very drunk. It is supposed he has been drowned.

The Supreme Court to-day was occupied hearing the conspiracy cases against David Asher and Pine Awanui ill connection with the purchase of the Papamoa Block, Tauranga. Pino pleaded guilty saying Asher had led liim into the crime. Messrs Button and Williamson prosecuted, Mr E. Hesketh defended Asher, and Mr Humphries appeared for Pine. The case will probably be finished tomorrow. Asher's defence is that he was- misled by Pine.

As the Zealandia- was about leaving for 'Frisco this evening, the 11. M. bailiff arrested a defaultering insurance agent from Wellington.
