THE LOAN CRITICISED,

Thk Morning Herald, in an article, dealing with the New Zealand loan, .says the position of the colony is not improved by Mr Goschen's conversion scheme. If the colony had maintained its position, the loan would have realised five per cent, higher, and in order to revive her credit the colony must keep her promise to abstain from further borrowing.
